FATHOMLESS PT. 4

“Lord, You have been our dwelling place in all generations. Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever You had formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God” (Psalm 90:1-2).

The reliability and comfort of the scriptures are from everlasting to everlasting and from age to age; they cannot be broken, for they are the words of God! They emanate from within Him and are His thoughts, character, and nature. Here is a peek into the Psalmist’s revelation. “Your throne is established from of old; You are from everlasting” (Psalm 93:2). When we read scriptures such as these, knowing that they not only contain the truth of God but are themselves the Truth of God, we find hope that can never be shaken! Jesus Christ is the expression of all that the Scriptures hold; He, being the image of the eternal God, and the full expression of His person and visage! I am in awe of God! Therefore, I am in awe of Jesus Christ!

When Thomas, the disciple, recognized that Jesus had in fact and truth, risen from the dead, he in deep awe, exclaimed, “My Lord and My God!” We too, upon the revelation of Jesus’ life and resurrection, should be profoundly moved, knowing the power and the love of this One who died for us! His everlasting and ageless love moved Him to become one of us and die on a cruel Cross to save us! That kind of love and grace is not temporal in any way but transcends all human thought and comprehension!

As a result of having received these blessings, let us go on a love journey with Jesus and stroll down the path of untraceable footprints! For our destiny does not stop here but is found in the eternal realms of God! Therefore, “let us not grow weary while doing good for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart” (Galatians 6:9). What shall we reap? We shall reap not only His rescue in this life but His blessed and fathomless presence forever and ever!

What a God!
