This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. (1 Timothy 1:15)
Those of us who are saved, owe our lives to God through Jesus Christ, He who saved us by dying on the Cross in our place. Since we owe our lives to Him, it implies that the salvation we enjoy was not earned by our efforts; it is not ours through any merit of our own. Salvation is our possession through faith in the merit of Another, Jesus Christ, who has given us what was His and His alone. If it were not His, He would not have had the right to legitimately give us this life. Scripture says He has given us eternal life and that life is in His Son. “And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life” (1 John 5:11-12). Therefore, God gave us what was His by right! He gave us Himself which is the Eternal Life! “He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God” (John 1:11-13). By His own will, God chose to save us by making us His sons! He chose to save us through the authority of Sonship! He employed Sonship as His means of salvation. Therefore, we are saved by the Blood of Jesus, the Son of God. The Blood of the Son of God brought forth sons, joint heirs, through the intentional act of God, the Father.
During every season of life, Jesus must be first and foremost in our thinking and actions! The Father’s name Yahweh means salvation or Yahweh saves! The name, Yahshua (Jesus), means “Yahweh (Yah) Saves (shua). Can you imagine, every time you mention the name Jesus, you are saying Yahweh saves or Yahweh is salvation! God is so amazing to have given us such a powerful blessing through His Son! What we find in our heavenly Father is that He held nothing back in His salvation of mankind! He gave all! In salvation, Father and Son gave all; they became the pattern for Christian deportment for everyone who would inherit salvation. In the days to come when you have done what you consider enough, stop and think of God taking His wrath out on His only Son for His enemies’ sake and the Son willingly accepting the punishment that was ours! Yahweh saves!
