Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the Lord is good. (Psalm 100:4)
In the words of the Psalmist, “know that the Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the Lord is good” (Psalm 100:3-4). When we show kindness to someone, we are showing the love of God and His generosity toward us all. In the month of November, we set aside time to give thanks to the Lord because scripture says that it is a good thing to give thanks to the Lord. It is also good to thank each other for selfless acts of love. We thank you. You are for us a “vital relationship!”
The Apostle Paul says to us, “as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful” (Colossians 3:12-15).
After giving a series of superlative qualities that believers are to demonstrate in our lives, Paul elevates this superlative list by saying, “But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful” (Colossians 3:14-15). You have done the superlative and gone beyond by showing such love, which is the bond of perfection, and we are thankful to God and to you.
