Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. (Habakkuk 2:2–3)
This verse is a centerpiece of my Christian life in my walking out the life of Christ every day. It is completely unambiguous, totally clear. We must embrace this clear language and live by its truth. We know that sometimes language sells us short. It is like the saying, “he pulled up lame.”It means a person was not able to reach the goal set before him because of choice or impediment. In our saga, desire fueled the choice that triumphed over every impediment. In this account of a moment in a day of a little boy’s life, is about something seen which was inexplicable, unexplainable to the five senses, something beyond language, yet more real than what the five senses or language could communicate. Seeing and knowing beyond language is not magical, but supernatural; it is an encounter, an encounter with God. That moment, that day, was a glance, a look at the horizon, which sparked desire for more than the eye could see.
The question now is, “what is beyond there?’’ Have you ever thought, “what is beyond there?” If so, what did you do about it? Did you cooperate with the One who caused you to inquire of Him, or did you lose that otherworld curiosity because no one else dared to ask, what is over there, what is beyond the skyline, what is beyond the horizon, what is beyond my limitations? How does one go beyond his/her limitations? When you have seen beyond what limits you, you have seen as God sees! When you have had an inexplicable encounter with God, nothing transcends, negates, nor has capacity to remove that reality, not time, space, distance, or circumstance! These questions can only be answered in the realm of the supernatural. Therefore, we are summoned by the Lord to live where the answers are provided. All other realms have questions. That place where Christ is manifested in all His glory and beauty is the Person and place of solution. What that little boy saw and experienced that day was such a place! Do not be afraid to believe and enter what Jesus has revealed to you. “For He Himself has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you.’ So we may boldly say: ‘The Lord is my helper’” (Hebrews 13:5–6).
Whathas the Lord shown you? Was it something impossible in the natural but possible in the place where God’s answers are found in the person of His Son? This is where you are to live. This is not a place for visitors, but for sons, for those who dwell in the secret place of the Most High and under the shadow of His wings. This time is made for your coming out, your revealing, if you can see it.
