Music: And you said I know that this will hurt
But if I don’t break your heart then things will just get worse
If the burden seems too much to bear
Remember
The end will justify the pain it took to get us there
When the Lord dropped that song onto my heart, He was reminding me that all the pain that I incurred during the pruning process—when He’s chipping away at things that I haven’t let go of for whatever reason—it’s all completely worth it because by the end of all this—by the end of the process—I’m going to look just like His Son. So, know that in all of your hardships, in all the struggles that you deal with and in all of life’s difficulties—whether in your current situation that’s something external that’s trying to get to you, or it’s something internal that the Lord’s trying to prune and chip away at—it’s all completely worth it because little by little, He’s making you look more and more like His Son. That’s the end result that the song’s talking about and the justification in that is that you are going to look just like His Son by the end of it. The pain is worth it.
