THE NIGHT IS PASSING, THE DAY IS DAWNING

For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea (Habakkuk 2:14).

We live in glorious days! This day belongs to the Church. It is our time. We are the watchmen of this day! Therefore, whatever we allow is allowed, but whatever we disallow is disallowed (Matthew 16:18-19)!

God made the prophet Ezekiel a watchman. In Ezekiel 3:17, God says, “son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore, hear a word from My mouth, and give them warning from Me.” A watchman is one who hears a word from the Lord and warns the people of approaching danger. He is in a sense, “a lookout.” I believe that in our day the Lord is calling some of us to warn the Church of the dangers ahead and also notify it of imminent blessings!

Ezekiel 33:3-6 says, “when he [the watchman] sees the sword coming upon the land, if he blows the trumpet and warns the people, then whoever hears the sound of the trumpet and does not take warning, if the sword comes and takes him away, his blood shall be on his own head […] But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, and the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at the watchman’s hand.” Therefore, we who are in authority must make a clarion sound for all to hear.

I believe the Lord Jesus is showing and telling us what is coming upon our nation and the world. We are His voice, hands, and feet. We must also exemplify His righteousness and holiness! This is a time for character-building. A soldier does not wait until he is in the midst of battle to train. We also must take all training seriously. The world is a dangerous place. We are in it, but not of it, therefore, let us take every message and warning very seriously.

The apostles of the Lord have warned us, and I am warning us also. Let us live soberly and righteously in this present world. These are dangerous but glorious days. Remember, we are more than conquerors through Him who loves us.
